    Adjustable Structural Ridgeline Math Help

    Hi all,
I am presently changing out my stock suspension on my Hammock Bliss Sky Bed Bug Free. I ordered all material from Dutch to make up whoopies and ridgelines. Finished making the amsteel whoopies and the zing-it ridgeline for the tarp.
I'm now onto the adjustable structural ridgeline which will be made from dynaglide. Need help with math.
    Overall is 142". My calculations for 83% are .83 x 142" = 118". That's if it were a one piece ridgeline.
Since I want it adjustable, my question is how much adjustment should I build into the adjustable ridgeline. From what? (smallest length) to what? (longest length).

Thanks in advance and for all the information I have gleaned thus far from this great forum,
    Scalz

Try this, and make sure on the bottom you go to the ridgeline tab https://www.hammockforums.net/forum/...0&d=1299872378

Also, there is a link in my sig for a good list of tutorials

10 to 12 inches above and below 118 inches should give you enough variability to get the sag you want.

And perhaps factor in a few more inches if you want to bury the tail end of the adjustable leg back into itself so it can't go back through the adjustable bury.

    Thanks Guys,
All done with making ridgeline. Using the excel ridgeline calculator I got 99 inches for my min length and 128 for max length. That covers a ten inch adjustment either side of 118". Try it all out tomorrow.

Maybe I missed math class that day, but 128 - 99 = 29" (14.5"+/-) which seems WAY over adjustable.

If I was putting one together, I would make my range 112" to 124". This gives you a 6" +/- adjustment factor which should be fine.

    Just my opinion, HYOH.
