I've been using the MSR Groundhogs as well to great effect. I have yet to have my stakes pull out. To be fait though, if the wind is really going to kick up you would be wise to tie off to a tree or something else substantial. The duff on the ground isn't a universal deal breaker but it sure doesn't provide you with the same level of anchoring that one would get pounding into Virginia red clay.
