I heard Vince come in some time during the night, 3am or so? LOL crazy fun!

I almost lost the trail coming in from the east side a couple years ago in the fall...couldn't imagine it in 2' of snow!!
I just noticed that I havn't mentioned the sight . This year we elected to do Carp lake which is only about half as far as Bryan lake . You're right I think Bryan lake is at least 2 miles and Carp lake only about 1 mile . Should be lots more firewood and it looked pretty nice on the side opposite of the trail .

Carp Lake, got it! Hope I can make it. And I'll need to set an alarm this time. I think I slept for 12 hours straight one night. Never did that on the ground!

More random pics from last year . About half and half ground dwellers and hangers . But I know at least one convert who ended up sleeping in his sled last year . Here is a boy scout project that was cool I thought . Snowshoes are pvc in the background behind the Klondike sled .

Putting this one on the radar for January. I love Hoist and would enjoy getting back there in the winter. Hopefully, I can muster the troops to make the journey north.

Being a "weather guy" I have to ask...too early to start looking? Even though this is the most inaccurate forcast of all time, I still like what I see into early December!
