Very good advice there, Joe. Also, as a word of comfort to anyone concerned, if things get REALLY bad, you can always just sleep in the car.

I don't recommend bringing beer on this trip.

I stopped by the parking lot and there is currently about four inches of snow on the unplowed lot. Based on the current forecast for Curran, Michigan, I don't think there will be more than an additional two or three inches by late Friday.

Just curious, will I be the ONLY one not using a pull or sled this weekend? Second, I may not be able to make it Friday night but will be there Saturday morning.=)

I have no such gadgets. I'll be carrying everything on my back, in one trip.

Still checking out this thread with envy It would be a great test for my new 0° Incubator. Nice snow cover. Ugh!!

Heading out next weekend for 3 days, but looks like I won't have single digits I really wanted. Heck I could camp in 20° lows in the spring and fall! Hang in there winter!

I'm still packing, and it's one cold em-effer this morning! It's in the negatives down here.
