Yup the Wally World ones are all urethane coated. That is why your Coleman sealant works in it but not the superfly. You'll need specifically silicone sealant for your sf.

I just got a SF off the BL forum! Excited to use it, but I guess after reading this, I will be sesame sealing tie-outs definitely and possibly the ridgeline as well!

The ridgeline doesn't need it unless you plan on running a ridgeline underneath the tarp (not recommended). Also, I would avoid sesame sealing as this would be likely to attract squirrels and other varmints!

Going to have to try that one, I know of a certain bright red tarp screaming for sesame sealing.

Yea, my SF leaked about 1 drop at 3 of the pullouts this weekend after being hit with rain, freezing rain, snow, and 30-40 mph wind gusts.
I used the permatex flowable windshield silicone sealer, but was so careful to apply only the smallest amount on the threads only. I will go back and be a little more liberal to get some on the grosgrain as well as the stitches, and then pit some baby powder on after it dries.IMG_2871.jpg
    The road less traveled.

What does the baby powder do? I've heard people putting it on to dry, but thought a stars dry method might be better. Are you saying to put it in after it dries?

It helps get rid of the external tackiness / stickiness. Keeps the tarp from sticking to itself

I hadn't seen this before. I run my SF over the ridgeline all the time. Seam sealed the pullouts, but not the RL. Should I be concerned?
