I've got a 12' tarp and while I love it, if doing it all over again, I'd get 11'. There's just a few times when the spot I preferred ended up being right at 12' and I couldn't quite get the tarp in. Not a huge deal, but I'd say that especially with doors, you don't need that much coverage on the ends.
