Hi guys. We are somewhat new to the world of hammocks. We currently have Byer Moskito hammocks. Although we have had them for a few years we have not used them a whole lot. We want to give up our backpacking tent and invest in some better hammocks. We thought the Clark Vertex would be kinda like a tent in the trees, but we found it not as comfortable as our Byers. Also it was hard for us to find the right three trees to properly set it up.
We have been doing a lot of research and reading on the forum. We are thinking of each getting the Warbonnet Blackbird XLC with the winter topcovers. Paul is 6'3" tall, and I am 5'11" so I think this option will give us the room we need to be comfortable. Next we will need to decide on tarps.
We are very happy to find this forum and glad to be a part of the group.
