    Hyper D 1.0 hammock

After getting my shipment of fabric in I got the urge to do some sewing. (It's raining out and the other job is building shelves in the shed).

Started with the olive 1.0 HyperD and created a 11' hammock. 3x sewn channel with continuous loops (my wife calls them 'infinity loops'.

Fabric: beautiful to work with. Easier than the silnylon I've been using lately lol. Hems went in nice.

It's thin and light. Hanging it, it seems to float. My wife wasn't going to try it first. I got in. Some stretch but it's nice.
Surprisingly so. I'm 180 lbs 5'9" and I have pretty much no knee hyper extension in this. It's very comfy.

Laid in it for a bit. Moved around and got up to check the stitching on the channels. Looks good.

I'm impressed. For a UL it would work nicely as long as you were careful not to snag sharps on it. But isn't that like all hammocks.

Great job. Do you lay with the calendared side in or out? Is the fabric real slick?

The finished side is shiny but not as slick as I expected from the look. I put that facing down. The flatter, raised pattern side is pretty soft to the touch. The Colors are nice.

I love the Hyper D 1.0 softness too... how are you getting below 7 oz.? or is that without the suspension?
