I had the exact same rip on my SF. Totally my fault as I tripped on the door guy lines. Brandon offered to sell me another superfly at a ridiculous discount so of course I bought it. Then I fixed the old one. Wasn't too hard only took an hour of careful stitch ripping and re-sew.

I ripped one of my DIY winter tarps like that getting in with the doors closed (caught my foot). I put a reinforcement at the ends now to help prevent tearing along the seam. I don't think this is a manufacturing defect, just a possible failure mode of the ridgeline design.

The easiest way to fix it was to cut off the ridgeline and sew a new one. Pretty easy. I'm sure Brandon will help you out, but if for some reason he can't, send me a PM. I'll fix it for you for shipping costs plus the cost of the ribbon.

It has taken me too long to give the update to this thread. I contacted Brandon and he shipped me a replacement right away. Top notch service. To further the support, once they received my torn cloudburst, they fixed it and they shipped it back to me. I knew this was too good to be true, so I contacted him to let him know I now had a second tarp for my difficulties, but knew I should pay at least partially for something so we worked out something that allowed me to keep the repaired cloudburst, and a new cloudburst with very little money exchanged. I was so pleased with the service I purchased a door kit from him as well. Will continue to recommend Brandon for his quality work and his dedication to his customers.

I love my warbonnet gear so much. Used all of it at my Cub Scout camp this weekend and had some rain and both the cloudbursts did their job admirably. Even used one of the doors!

    Yeah,
I am blessed that it was my wife who got our family into hammocks. We have 5 hammocks for the 4 of us. Both son and daughter grew up camping in hammocks and now they are full-timers at home. (Thanks pap smurf). Now as a den leader in cub scouts I am leading by example by camping out when the rest of the boys are in cabins. They are naturally curious and are asking their parents why they are not sleeping outside!

What a great story in this thread. There's nothing like doing business with cottage vendors!

Glad to see your update. Just got my Cloudburst in last week and love it. To add to the awesome service of Warbonnet, I received my tarp in less than 48 hours after i placed my order.

I found a tear in the foot box of my blackbird that looks just like yours. I haven't heard back from my email to Brandon yet on my options

I noticed a tear in my footbox today. What options did you have?

We are now doing a rolled hem under the RL binding to prevent this issue after it happened a few times, everything before and after is covered under our full warranty, so if you have issues with anything just contact us and we'll take care of you.
