camo tarp or camo fabric in the $30-$40 range

I'm looking for a camo tarp along the lines of the Sportsman's Guide / HQ Issue tarps which aren't currently available new. The reason I mention this one as an example is because I like the camo pattern (a quality digital woodland - although I'll consider other patterns); I like the size (I need one with the smallest dimension of 8 ft.); the packed size (one that can be packed in a reasonably small stuff sack, not just folded like the really cheap vinyl tarps); oh, and the price (less than $40).

Another possibility is a similar piece of raw camo fabric.

It's just barely possible that you'll find a camo tarp that isn't polyvinyl from WallyWorld at that price, but I wouldn't hold my breath looking for it. On the other hand, you may be able to find fabric in your price range...

There are a couple of places selling camouflage silnylon that I'm aware of:

Ripstop By The Roll (current price $8.25/yd; still above your <$40 for the tarp cost)

    Lightheart Gear (current price $14.95/yd)

It looks like sil is probably going to be more expensive than what you want to pay. If you're willing to use camo PU-coated, that opens up a lot more possibilities. Check rockywoods.com, DIY Gear Supply, Seattle Fabrics, OWFINC, and the other "usual suspects" for different camo types and fabric weights. Look for either "70d PU-coated nylon", "1.9 oz coated nylon" or other variations on those two; the 70d refers to the base fabric, as does the 1.9 oz (both are before coating; PU-coated nylon usually comes in somewhere around the 3 to 5 oz/sq yd range after the coating).

    Hope it helps!

Diygs had some really cheap camo pu coated nylon a while back. It was acu 70d I think. I made a tarp from it but I don't know if it's still around. I think I paid 3.75$ a yard.

Also check with Dutch as he sometimes has camo silnylon fabric. You will have to PM or email to find out if he has any.
