    KAQ New River 3 season

I just received my 3 season New River Quilt in the mail. Gotta admit, I'm impressed. I went this route versus the Down for simply the cost. But, I don't think I will regret it one bit. Craftsmanship is second to none. I received it in 6 DAYS! And it works just fine on the ENO single nest I'm using this hunting season. I really like it and cannot wait for our hunting trips next month, to try it out.

Any of you guys use a KAQ? How do they rate in your opinions? How are the temp ratings? Just looking for affirmation that I made a good decision for 20-30 degree sleeping. It appears to me Arrowhead has knocked this one out of the park. Give me your experiences using the KAQ's please. God Bless you all

I have a KAQ New River Long 3 season. Great under quilt - amazing how warm it keeps you! 20 to 30 degrees is about right - actual temp depends on what you wear and how cold you normally sleep.

As an owner of an original New River UQ that was made before Paul at Arrowhead bought the line and several others that were made by Paul I can tell you that you will be very happy with the UQ you purchased. The temp rating is, IMHO, more to the 30 degree side but I have used one down to 25 and been comfortable. You can be assured that you have purchased a quality product from a quaility company. My quilts are just over 5 yrs old and are holding up quite well. Do some trial runs so you get the set up just right and enjoy the afternoons and nights after those early morning hunts.

+1 on the Jarbidge - I've only had it for a couple of weeks but it's been down to below 40° and kept me very warm. KAQ quality is great - ratings -I think - are conservative. Looks like a real quality piece that will be around for years.

Big fan of AHE gear! Have had the river and jarbridge for a few years now. They have been good to me. Kept me warm many a night.

Thanks guys. I am looking forward to doing a trial this weekend in the back yard, if it doesn't rain and bring the temps up at night to much to get a good representation.

I spent untold hours and $ to try and get around buying an underquilt. I wish I had just caved and bought it originally. I have missed out on lots of opportunity to enjoy the comfort a hammock provides due to improper equipment. I do a lot of hunting in foot only wilderness areas and I am really looking forward to doing it this year with good sleep to go along with it. I know from experience, after a week on an army cot, sleep is just a delirious illusion brought on by fatigue. But, I think that is all in the past. :^) God Bless

"I spent untold hours and $ to try and get around buying an under quilt."

Been there and done that...countless poncho liners, pads, windshield reflectors, sleeping bags, etc.
But no more - finally got a Jarbidge and could not be happier - never going back...
