I'm guessing this is a bigger bike than what you need to hide, but the concept is the same:
Need to hide a something big?
Or in Shug's Piney Woods?

Down the left side of the page, is a list of many netting types/patterns.
I didn't see any red/white/green Christmas camo, though...
ekitel, that stuff is called die-cut camo...it's cheap, light, and you can get it just about anywhere, including Wally.
I'm cooking right now...I'll get you a link later, if somebody doesn't beat me to it.

That is exactly what you do. Or, just lay it flat, pinch a section and cut with scissors or a razor blade. Try to keep certain sized cuts in the same part of the fabric, and paint them a similar color. This will create the illusion of depth an real foliage. I'm looking for a Hennessy fly to shred, but I don't want to spend more that $10 for the project!
Remember that repeating patterns are counter productive, but the smaller each individual element is the more difficult it becomes to detect the pattern. This is why MARPAT, CADPAT, Flektarn, Multicam, Bulldog Mirage, and others work so well. They have micropatterns that combine to make the macropatterns. So, when you make your cuts try to keep most of them small, but mix in larger ones as well.
The stuff I like is a plastic product which makes it waterproof and easy to paint. Also, there is the heavier "military version" which has a string net, and the "ultralight" version that is just die-cut. Most of what I've seen sold to hunters is a burlap printed with a Realtree-type pattern. It will soak up water and make it even heavier than it already is.
