I'm not the gatekeeper, only the greeter.
Do your scouts all hang?
And will they promise to go to bed early and sleep late?
I've had wonderful experiences with scouts and some not so much, (usually when the leaders abdicate their role and forget that part of the scout law about being Courteous and Kind especially with respect to quiet hours and traipsing through campsites of others uninvited...)
I'm so excited about this! It'll be great to see everyone, absolutely can't wait! Hopefully the fishing will be better than last year!
Hammocks are God's way of saying....."relax guy".
I am definitely in!! I even have my wooden name tag from last year. Of course by now I have altered the standard knot in the string lanyard to a locked brummel continuous loop.
We are back from Ordeal weekend...and I am beat. We had to sleep on the side of a rocky hill with no sleep pads etc. Every time I would fall asleep I would slide down the hill...no more sleeping on the ground for me.
Our boys are different for sure. We dont tolerate any of that sort of nonsense. We area boy lead troop and they do an excellent job of policing themsleves. There is always an adult not far away to make sure things go smoothly. I think you would enjoy camping with our boys. Its lights out at 10 pm and most are a struggle to get up so sleeping late usually isnt a problem. I might try and bring a few of the older boys with me, my son included.
Great! Nice job on the lanyard. I can no longer edit the first post so I'll show you as a "Yes" on a future update. Glad you'll be joining us again.
Sounds good to me!
Chris! Where you been man? We need to get some tree time sometime soon. Gonna join us in November?
I'm hoping to have a group with me. I won't know for sure until we get a little closer to the date. I hope they don't sell out...
I will not be bound to the ground.
