+2 on what Rip said. I own a Tadpole and it has never faild on me yet. Very light and the coverage is great.
If you are wanting avoid gromets you might want to reconsider the Chinook. It has gromets on the ridgeline. They seem much more sturdy and very well reinforced compared to my Equinox tarp but they are still there.

I have the Kelty Noah 9 and 12 and both are great. The 12 covers two hammocks, keeps the hubby and I close.
