Nope...never used one, never even seen one. Looks like a blanket w/drawstrings at the feet?? Why?? Maybe I just don't understand the usefulness of it, but for $50 bucks I'll pass...
it would appear to be a cheapo poor quality synthetic sleeping bag
slapped with thermarest branding in some last ditch marketing to
some unknown niche apparently fueled by brand power alone.
i would guess it will be heavy for its temp rating and equally
bulky.
too bad. would expect more from cascade designs.
like maybe a legit bag people that backpack would actually use,
and some nifty gimmick to mate the bags with thermarest pads.
or just top quilts that mate to thermarest pads like several
other companies are doing.

upon further reading it appears to be marketed at car campers.
literally

however it looks like cascade designs IS on board with lightweight
top quilt technology. better late than never
these look interesting

check out the specs though.
something seems fishy. awfully heavy for such a low temp rating
but priced comparable to high end down quilts we know and love

thanks turk. I'm kinda on the fence about this quilt thing, and looking to find a cheap way to try them out. I was thinking of pairing it with a heavy duty survival blanket like this onehttp://www.rei.com/product/407106. I think this would work for a lite summer setup Any suggestions would help, I don't think down would work. I am pretty hard on my gear
