Those are some awesome pics - so sorry I couldn't make it, I did end up getting away from my responsibilities long enough that I could hit one of the local trails up with TFC Rick on Sunday afternoon, it was cool and we had a good time, but it was nothing compared to this!
However I took my pack as it was packed for this trip to the smokeys to the local trail here and I'm kinda glad that I didn't get to go with you, because I found out 2.5hrs into the trip that I had totally forgotten to pack the BodyGlide anti-chafe stick, and that would have completely tanked the whole weekend in the smokeys if I had gone without it.
Glad you were able to go, and so glad it was an awesome weekend for you!

18.5 miles impressive weekend hike.
I made it out to Guana bagged a nice hog. Slept my first night in the Snipe Hammock very comfortable I might add. Did a 4 mile hike the next day to try out some poles I picked up at Gander Mtn. Have not walked with poles before it wasn't to bad I believe I could get use to them OK.
Took me some time to get used to poles. I think they are more useful when you are pushing yourself just a bit. They really save your knees at the end of the day on the downhills. Only problem I have found is my neck is sore the next day. That's just because I am a computer geek by day. I love them. I have two sets if Leki. I am taking the straps and baskets off the second for the AT and other hard ground hiking. I like the baskets down here in Florida for the sand.
