Finally got to take the new Switchback 1.9, outside last night. Best I could do was the walk-in camper area at the county park. I did find two trees in the only vacant spot and got things set up. There were about 100 scouts and I don't know how many tents about 50 yards through the undergrowth. I figured I was in for a cool, sleepless and loud night. I did hear someone mumble something like "that dude's got a hammock", anyway.
Well I was right on 1 count, it dropped to 45F. I settled in around 10:30, woke up at 12:22 looked at my phone, pulled the under quilt back to the center of the hammock, rolled around a bit, the next thing I knew it was 7:17 and the sun was warming me up!??! What! I cannot remember only waking up once while camping and that's a long time. Family photos have me tenting on Sullivan's Island at 6 months old.
Anyway thanks to my friend of a friend (Kurt)(HF-krshome, in case there is a referral bonus) for the intro and all you guys here at the forum for you experience. Now for some real hiking and hanging. Thanks all.
