Very good advice there, Joe. Also, as a word of comfort to anyone concerned, if things get REALLY bad, you can always just sleep in the car.
I don't recommend bringing beer on this trip.

Map shows 6-8" at camp. "Warmed" up the forecast Wish I could be there! Will have to settle for next weekend instead.
Friday A 50 percent chance of snow showers. Cloudy, with a high near 12. West wind around 15 mph.
Friday Night Mostly cloudy, with a low around 0.
Saturday Partly sunny, with a high near 13.
Saturday Night Mostly cloudy, with a low around 4.
Sunday A slight chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 23
The drive might get dicey... Near blizzard conditions Thursday afternoon lingering into Friday morning.
Adds to the adventure =)
I stopped by the parking lot and there is currently about four inches of snow on the unplowed lot. Based on the current forecast for Curran, Michigan, I don't think there will be more than an additional two or three inches by late Friday.
Thanks for the report Vulture.
Just curious, will I be the ONLY one not using a pull or sled this weekend? Second, I may not be able to make it Friday night but will be there Saturday morning.=)
Still checking out this thread with envy It would be a great test for my new 0° Incubator. Nice snow cover. Ugh!!
Heading out next weekend for 3 days, but looks like I won't have single digits I really wanted. Heck I could camp in 20° lows in the spring and fall! Hang in there winter!
