I own several hammocks different brands. All have the same problem. Most likely my setup. My feet are pressed together no matter how I lay. I do lay crosswise but the situation persists.. Any suggestions?

What hammocks (length) do you own?

There are three solutions that I can think of:
1) Get a longer hammock. With a gathered-end hammock, the further the gathered end is away from your feet, the more room your feet will have. An eleven foot hammock is reasonable. You could even go twelve if you want. If you are not hiking with it, thirteen is not unheard of.
2) Get a bridge hammock. The spreader bars will give you more room.
3) Cut off one of your feet.
Do you cut off the left foot or the other left foot??
As was already stated, it sounds a lot like it's possible the length of the hammock. Similarly, you may have the hammock strung a bit tight. That will limit room as well.
That depends on whether you're hiking north or south. The earth's rotation will help mitigate the curve in your step.

I spent four nights in my hammock and the first two nights I found I could choose between one of two evils: cram my feet together, or lay right on the velcro strip. About a half hour into trying to sleep on night three, I realized the problem was that my feet were elevated and to find the flat lay for my back I'd had to scooch down, thus jamming my feet into the footbox or putting my left knee on the velcro. So, I got out, undid the head lashing, raised the bugger about 3 inches, and went right to sleep.
If you're having an issue with multiple hammocks across several hangs, this probably isn't your problem... but it is something to keep in mind
