I am surprised they are slipping for some people. I have not even put a slippery half hitch in mine...just leave the straps as-is, and have not had any slippage.

I bought these straps to replace the ones that came with my WBBB XLC hammock. My experience is that they had significantly more stretch than I expected and more than the originals. I'm about 250lbs. I have only had them slip a few times and started to add a half hitch.

I have been using the dy/poly straps since they came out ( I am using them on 3 different hammocks ) and have noticed any slippage. I am using them with the Ti Cinch Buckles. As I weigh 275+ lbs I think I would have noticed any slippage while using them. Still it is possible.
I am still 18 but with 52 years of experience !
Any additional feedback on this. I love the buckles but i am getting lowered on a regular basis.
As I reported earlier, I had a big problem being lowered dramatically. Since then, I haven't been lowered. It seems I'm done after an initial "stretchy" period!
My dyneema/polypro straps stretched a couple inches the first time I used them, but I haven't had any further issues with stretching or slippage whatsoever using Warbonnet buckles.

It is true that the first couple times you use them they stretch. It is the weave tightening up. We weave them loose so buckles can bite on them. After a hang or two the get tightened up and will no longer stretch.

Guess I wasn't paying attention- but I didn't notice any initial stretching with mine (have three pairs now).

Thanks dutch! As if I need more reason to create hang time...gotta thuroughly break in the new gear
Would it make sense to pre-stretch them? I have 2 sets; one set I made after the material was first offered and one set I received with my beetle order. I used the first set on a few close tree hangs so I did not need to use the full length of the straps. When I used the second set a few times with the beetles they were on a mid span distance and then a couple of long spans. I think I was experiencing stretch of each section as I used more length of the straps. I wasn't sure if it was stretch of the strap or slip of the beetle. I tested with marking the strap above the beetle to see if it was slipping during the night. It moved some so I went to adding a hitch about to lock the strap. No more slip.
The combination of a getting familiar with new suspension, new strap material, and increasingly longer spans made my experience with the beetle a little confusing. I think my straps are all pre-stretched now and stable. I still use the hitch above the beetle when I use them. I have switched back to a marlin spike with my DIY speedhooks for the next few months of backpacking trips. I will use the beetles in the winter months.
