I'm going to reposition my indoor hanging mounts since we moved some furniture in our downstairs family room. My new mounting points are going to be across and exterior wall corner.

Since this is in a basement room those walls are concrete block. There are furring strips attached to the block, then the drywall nailed to those.

I haven't actually seen behind the walls to know what dimension material the furring strips are. My guess is 2x4s turned on the flat edge. but they could also be as thin as 1".

In any case I'm going to drill through the furring strip and into the concrete.

I'll run a tapcon into the block. since i have all the tools i need for that.

here is my problem. there are no tapcon (masonry screws) availible that have a hook or an eye. just the bolt head.

So what i need to do is figure out what exactly i can screw to the wall to act as the attachment to the suspension system.

thoughts? recommendations?
