Been absent from the community for a few years... Long story. But, I am about to make the leap to nightly hanging. I'm looking at buying a hammock stand to put in my new house. This one to be specific.

It is only 12ft, the 15ft model won't fit in the room. The description says it will hang a 10-11 foot hammock, but I think that is based on the netted bridge hammocks they sell there. I'm well aware of the safety guidelines; the need for climbing biners and low stretch line such as Amsteel. (this is not my first hang) My biggest concerns are...
1) Will this actually be large enough for a typical 10ft hammock; like my Blackbird?
2) Should I swap the bent eye hooks it comes with for forged ones?
3) Any other comments or concerns you have are welcome.
