Before I reveal my own stupidity lets get a little background on how this all came about.
So yesterday after a solid day of working out in the sun I decided it was finally time to make a hammock out of the 5 yds of ripstop I bought a few months back. Went to the grandmother's because she said she would love to help, which turned into her sewing the whole thing. She was doing a great job and quite frankly her machine scared the heck out of me. The yard maulers (mowers, hedgetrimmers, chainsaw) I had been using earlier seemed tame compared to her instrument of torture. In what I am going to now blame on the heat and a german physics professor that made us use metric religiously I turned 120 inches into 12 feet. I think we all know what I should have gotten when I did my math but what the heat did to my brain I don't understand. When we were measuring it out we both said that seemed excessive but I still didn't catch my mistake. Soo long story short I am now the proud owner of a 12 foot hammock. It is perfectly stitched though. Think im going to go back to the gram's to see if she can't fix my mathematical miscalculation. I'll post a few pics once I find a space in the house to stretch it out...
Moral of this story, don't convert units while dehydrated.
