in another thread they talked about putting the state FIRST in post to help. setting up borders might just confuse more. i drive 600 miles north, south and west for a hang.

I agree with putting the state in the title. I for one am not familiar with most state parks. I think the titles should have the date as well.
If you don't try due to fear of failure you've already failed due to fear.
bumping this.
I would like it to be regional also. It would make searching for hangs in and near florida much easier. I dont know when I'll be heading to WA or CA, so I dont need to know about their hangs and I don't mean that in a bad way. I am a member on a motorcycle forum and they have it divided into regions for the states then list other countries. It will make it easier for our members, if they are going on a trip they can look up that region and find any hangs for that date or area.
I like the Idea of the State sub forums.

Four months, three pages and yet, not a word from the mods.
I like the regional forum idea as well. The way it is now, if a trip planning thread doesn't have a post for a couple of days, it disappears to the second page.
I'm lukewarm to the state in the title idea as all I do is look at the location of the original poster unless it says something like "Grand Canyon". If you want to see the problem with zones draw a 400 mi circle with the center in NYC or Rochester NY and see what it gives you. I can get to Maryland easier than Maine. ;-)
