What do you do with your shoes after climbing into your hammock? I have been tying the laces together and throwing over the foot portion of the ridge line. Mostly thinking about when it rains to keep them dry and handy.

I just tuck mine in tight by the hammock. Slip 'em on to get up and pee.

IF they are light weight shoes, I loop their laces together and hang them from the Blackbirds tie outs. If they are heavy boots, I just put them on a tyvek sheet under the hammock within easy reach. If I'm hanging on a huge slope or some other odd area where the ground is far away from me, I'll loop my boot laces together and hang them from the ridge line of the tarp or suspension of the hammock so they are off the ground. It takes a little gymnastics to get them without jumping out of the hammock, but if I can hang them, I should be able to retrieve them.

Varies: Some leave them on the ground under the hammock. Some put them in a peak bag inside the hammock.
If you camp where marmots will carry your shoes away don't leave them on the ground.
In winter, you can put them in a silnylon peak bag along with a couple of chemical foot warmers in the shoes to keep them from freezing during the night.
Otherwise, they are handy left on the ground for quick nature trips during the night.

I don't want to worry about checking for scorpions or spiders when putting on my shoes to go pee in the middle of the night so I made the Boot Bag
Same here, we have snakes and scorpions that will go straight to a chem handwarmer in a boot.
I have camp shoes (Moccasins).
I put my boots inside my pack cover (contractor trash bag) on the ground under my hammock (or hang it in a tree).
I use my Navy ditty bag attached to the ridgeline to hold my moccasins. I slide the bag down behind my head end of my hammock. (Outside the hammock) Easy grab and slip on before a nocturnal excursion. No scorpion/snake/spider checks while groggy is a good thing.
That just put the funniest, cartoonish image in my mind. Also immediately substituted marmots for ants, squirrels, etc.
Can you tell I have cabin fever and I can hardly wait for my WBBB to arrive?
...And why does the forum's spell checker not recognize WBBB as a valid word!?
I tie my laces and hang them over my hammock end. My Croc camp shoes go just under my hammock on a scrap of Tyvek.
