This is a very simple idea - If it's been covered on here before, I haven't seen it. Just thought maybe others would be interested in an easy DIY project . . .
I had several sections of fiberglass tent poles that had split and were broken. After salvaging the shock cord and cutting off the broken pole ends, I had several pcs of 3/8" hollow rods, each about 18" long. Using a fine-toothed hacksaw, I cut them in half on a long angle, yielding stakes about 9" long each.
I wrapped the top with several tight turns of electrical tape, both to keep the top from splitting when pounding these, and also to keep the line from slipping off the top.
Lightweight, cheap, and strong. And easy to replace if broken or lost . . . My kind of project!
