Just to tease you guys a little bit with some pic's. We took a hike two weekends ago on the 4c trail. It was a beautiful day.

The Neches river was running full and had very good flow.

I will be driving back from FL at that time. Maybe I can get in on the next one.
I am new to this forum and haven't bought a hammock set up yet. I'm a paddler and a hiker and now I'm taking up backpacking and need to go as light as possible while keeping the comfort factor as high as possible, which is what brought me here. I have researched this site for several days trying to glean as much info as possible.

2 more weeks! Everybody ready? I still need to order a tarp & bugnet for my hammock yet. The skeeters have been out for a couple weeks now.
I'll be more than ready for a hike, though. That whole week before the hike will be pergola building, veggie planting, and grass seeding. Lots and lots of work to do before I hike.
I'm ready. I've got a lot of yard work to do also.
Go Dawgs!!!!

I'm still planning on being there.
I am going to to my best to make it, sometimes you just never know how the work schedule will work out.
Split, I'll be coming from Granbury. About 25 miles sw of Fort Worth. You looking to car pool? Unfortunately, the Saturday backpacking night out is out for me. I just recently had unexpected shoulder surgery. I'll be there, but with limited activities.
Handle every stressful situation like a dog. If you can't eat it or play with it, just pee on it and walk away.
