Who was in the WBBB set up back away from the shoreline @ the Goat Island hang on Lake Greenwood a few weeks ago? I want to bend your ear (or maybe eyes) again about your setup.

I hang mine with a continuous ridgeline with the tarp over the ridgeline string. I attach the tarp to prussic knots on the ridgeline via little carabiners. From there, I just stake out the corners.
My ridgeline is a cheap string that I picked up in a camping store, IIRC.
There are various schools of thought on tarp hanging, and I am still exploring some techniques and options.

I don't use the continuous ridgeline. The binding Brandon uses is pretty strong and therefor I just go from the tree to the rings at the tarp ridgeline. Haven't had any issues and have been in some heavy winds with it on the lake.
Only difference I can tell is a little less needed line. I think for the price difference, having the Superfly over the BM is nicer because of the side pullouts. Unless you intend to have ideal conditions (yeah, right! ...) every time you hang, those pullouts are helpful in giving you some extra headroom when needed. Spinn is nice and light but for the little extra weight, I'll take the extra room. Helps the back as I can stand up straighter and not have to lean over as much.
My $0.02 . . .

So do you two guys usually hang in the mode as on Goat Island or do y'all also take your hammock backpacking?
Most of my hanging is backpackpacking. I like to get out on the AT when I can but this year has been dedicated to the Foothills Trail. Planning on going to the Lake Jocassee Hang with my family (car camping... for the most part) and my wife and 2 daughters will also be hanging in their HH Expeds. If all goes as planned ("fingers crossed here") there may be more "family hanging" trips in my future. But, backpackig is my mainstay.
. . . and Mt Rogers hang is coming. . .
