What do you do with your pack at night?

I know I've seen a thread like this, but I can't seem to find it... so I'll ask the question again:

What do you do with your pack at night?

I know some of you say that you put it under your legs for insulation. What do the rest of you do? Do you hang it (bear-bag style)? Do you put it on the ground under your hammock? Do you lean it against on your hammock trees? Do you do anything different if its raining hard?

I put on the pack cover and hang it from one of the ends of the hammock. Though I spent one night with the pack inside the hammock with me, as bears were cruising through camp every few hours and Yosemite bears are known to drag away even an empty pack just to investigate it.

Depends on the weather, if its raining, I stick it under the hammock. I carry a ground cloth (old floor from a retired tent), that I lay under hammock for stepping in and out on. Keeps dirt and debris down, I hate it when sand runs down off my feet and ends up you know where.
I keep everything under the tarp, I just make sure to seal things up good, trying to keep bugs and critters out.

When not in my hammock with me, it is usually clipped to the suspension with a biner or placed underneath the hammock. If it's raining, or thinking about raining, I wrap it up in my Packa before it's hung or placed on the ground.

I hang mine with mini biner at head end under tarp. Use for storage. (Food and anything with odor goes in bear bag and hangs for the night.)

I hang mine around a tree either with its own straps or with a piece of 1" webbing with a loop and biner. This way I can position the pack so that I can access it easily while standing up. I haven't encountered much rain, but when it has sprinkled, I have just closed up the pack and rotated it to the leeward side of the tree.

Head end of my hammock (so I can get to stuff while in the hammock) hanging from the ridgeline.
Boots hang just beyond the pack, kilt is on the ridgeline at the other end, camp shoes are on my hiking poles withing easy reach.
If stuff is wet & it's not raining anymore, I set up a clothes line nearby.

I have a JRB Gear Hammock that I hang under the WBBB and tarp. It also functions as a rain cover for the pack.

I hang mine from a tree so I can get to it. Leave rain cover on. Usually use the strap from sleeping bag to hang it with.
Exception 1 - Really hard rain, beside me in hammock.
Exception 2 - Really, really tired, I go looking for it in the morning.
