Does anyone know what happened to Hennessy's new models, deep jungle and deep winter? I thought they would have been released by now.

The only info that has been made available so far was at Trail Days, where they were on display and for sale. Since then, nothing further.

Anyone have any pictures of these?
Thanks Cannibal ... which new model is that?
What are the features of the two new models? I've not seen or heard of these except in this string. But then I lead a sheltered life
Mine is the Deep Jungle.
Both are double layered hammocks with a full-length zipper (from whipping to whipping). As you can see in one of the pics, the netting can be thrown over and the hammock becomes a open hammock. The pocket opening for the double layer is pretty narrow (design flaw IMO) and can be a hassle to put a pad in and out, but not too much of a hassle. The really big news (and it's weird just because it's a Hennessy) is the lack of a bottom entry.
The Deep Winter is different only in the second layer. The outer layer of fabric on the Deep Winter is sil. Both layers on the Deep Jungle are made from the HyperLite fabric...which I REALLY like; very soft.
Trust nobody!
Thanks ... I appreciate the clarification. Is strange not to put the bottom slit ... even with the zipper. That's what I love on my expedition ... slit and the #3 mod. Best of both worlds.
Hawk-eye-
Here's a link to the thread I wrote about about the Deep Jungle after I got it at Trail Days.

Thanks Cannibal ... that was an interesting string.
One more question ... why Cannibal?
Oh and Hawk-eye came from when I was a kid and kept reading the Leather stocking tales over and over again. Playing Nattie Bumbo with a stick Muzzle loader
Because I'm a decendant of the Donner Party.
Just always felt it an appropriate name for adventure and it pays a little tribute in a good spirited way to people who's adventures were much more difficult than anything I could ever embark upon. Puts some of the bad days in a different perspective sometimes.
Trust nobody!
