    I think for my first hammock Ill stick with what I got and give it a shot. If I'm not a big fan of the narrow I'm sure somebody at work will buy it off me and Ill go from there. Cant wait to get home(at college now) and hope on a machine and hem this bad boy, I have had hammocks on my mind for months and just couldn't afford to buy one.

    that's the way to do it... go ahead & try the narrow hammock since you already have the fabric.
    like you say, if it doesn't suite you, it'll work for some one else.

    If you don't like it make something else with the fabric, like a quilt.
