Wow, they quote 0.3 lbs on their website. That's pretty heavy!

Man, you aren't kidding! I didn't see the weight when I ordered, but they were waiting for me when I got home. The onrope buckles are beasts! Heavy doesn't begin to describe them. Don't buy them unless you want them for a trailer cinch system.
Guess I will just have to wait for Brandon's buckles.
Haven't had any issues with the original buckles that came on my BB but if Brandon is offering some new ones soon I'll probably upgrade just to have the latest greatest thing.
uh yes sign me up for the free buckle upgrade and if not free sign me up anyway...BUT hurry I leave next Thursday for the trail and will be out 3 weeks...if groveling helps I'm on my knees while typing this-honest
and as a p.s. why tie the back up knot if you don't have too, save precious time for laying in a Warbird.
Say Brandon,
If someone were to order a new BB from you with the rope (only) suspension option, what hammock "hardwear" would they receive? Are you still using the tri-rings or have you converted completely to the new buckle?

tree straps still come with the single tri-ring
WBG, although I like the looks of your new strap hardware, I've become a convert to the tree strap-with-rope scheme using the slipped buntline knot. While everyone is entitled to HYOH ("hang your own hang"), I'm sold on the less-is-more approach. While it may be a bit more "fiddly" to use knots for adjustments rather than whoopie slings or long straps/dutch clips or 'biners, I like the simplicity and weight reduction of rope.

I'm with Beep on this except I did get spoiled using the descending rings for quick adjustment...just hate how they PINCH the rope...
Hey Joe!
couldn't help but notice the obscure reference to a cultural dining experience in south Jersey- my old stomping grounds.
...nice handle
I had harbor freight webbing go one and a half thru hikes without even the slightest signs of wear with cinch buckles. I will admit that i did destroy the webbing in one day though when I set it up wrong and the cinch buckle didn't lock. The webbing got doubled up in the corner or something, but when I got in I slid down and shredded the webbing. Otherwise I would have 2 thru hikes on the same webbing and still no signs of wear.
