Web Loop vs Biner on BB video

After watching Brandon's video, I noticed that for the line/tree strap end he simply puts the strap through it's own loop at the tree. However on the adjustable webbing end he uses a Biner. Is this just a matter of preference or can the adjustable webbing not be put through it's loop also?

I am planning on getting some Dutch Clips when they become available in the HF store, but if I can simply use the loop, why carry the weight?

With the adjustable webbing you can just loop it through itself but you would have to undo the webbing from the rings or buckle each time you set up and took down to get the end free to feed through the loop. With a carabiner or clips it is just faster to set up and take down. And for 12 grams for clips each or 22 grams for carabiners each it's not that much to add for the minute or two less in set up time I (gram counter) I like the connivence and speed.

Makes sense now that I let someone else think for me. Guess it would have become evident on my first try. Dutch Clips it is.

Now if I can just get some when they come in before they all get snatched up.

Tried my BB out for the first time last weekend and when I bought it told Brandon the same thing.. sets up fine, but is a hassle.

This weekend went out and got to biners..

I guess I'll never learn...

switch to whoppies, no clips needed, just a cut piece of hugger to use with marlin spike! =)
