I've "heard" that having packages sent to one's office buys one time too.

    Least that's what I "hear" ... ahem ...

Yes ship to the office sneak it into the garage and write your friends name on it. Tell your best friend what you did (in case it comes up -- why you are storing his camp gear). Use the gear as if was your own. Not that I have or will do this. But it works great after a couple of years she forgets about it.

Ha ... the blonde taught me that trick ... new pair of shoes ... if I don't see them the day they come in the house ... in a week or so when I do see them and say "hey new shoes?" ... I get back "oh no ... had those for awhile already"

Guess it's a two way street!

So ... "is that a new under quilt thingy for your camping thingy?" .... "Lord no ... had that for awhile now"

This method only works when your significant other doesn't camp with you on a regular basis. Unless...

...you have so much gear that she/he can't keep track of it all. See? You guys have been giving me a hard time for my gear collecting, but there is a method to my madness. That's the story I'm sticking with until I come up with a better one.
    Trust nobody!

oooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh nooooooooooooooooooo .... you never quantify .... you need to know the rules of the game ... that's how you stay married over 31 years!

Not sure the name of the particular comedian ... but I remember one routine where while attending his father's 50th anniversary he asked his dad "what's the secret of staying married to one woman that long?"

His father's answer .... "Yard work and alcohol"!
