man, you're already at 48 degrees!!!! I'm north of you and on the coast and it only was about 54 last night. On the plus side, I did hang up my hammock last night in the back yard to FINALLY start testing my winter under quilt Still not cold enough for my winter top quilt.

You know, I've heard of people putting hot water into a nalgene and putting that inside their sleeping bag, your way is quite unique

I should know better than to misplace my modifiers and dangle my participle...

I could swear there was a comma somewhere in that sentence.

    Why?? You're on a roll!!

Fortunately for me I have a Christmas gift mug from my granddaughter that has an open/closed twist valve on the top. I find the warmth of the mug against my femoral artery adds at least 10 degrees to my hang... more if I forget to set the top 'closed'!

Yep, it's definitely that time of year again. Our daily highs in Phoenix have just dropped below 100. Life is good! Last weekend I went hanging an hour north of here and the overnight low was 37 degrees.

Can't wait for those crisp mornings in the mountains, up Shenandoah way next week. This is my kind of weather. Had to wear a jacket this morning, but still in my shorts. Up to 57 now, jacket coming off.

Heck this cooler weather is sending me back to thinking about my job in Colorado this summer. We never saw temps above 60 during the day and well below freezing at night. Aint it grand!
