Hey, Opie, so ive been thinking and mabey im not the first one to think of this (and mabey it makes no sense and im over thinking) but this was my ideah, would their be a possibility for a woopie sling tarp ridge line. So let me know if this makes sense. Basically you would have one woopie sling loop/bury on one side and just a biner tied to the other side on an Xft piece of rope. The biner side you'd wrap the rope around the tree and just clip it like a tree huger. On the woopie loop end you'd put a biner on the loop, clip the loop (with the biner) to the rope like you do tree hugger strap. Then all you would have to do is pull the burried rope in order to tension the ridge line. Then you would just use a prusick knot to attach tarp to the line (either with dynaglide or bungecord which ever would be more grippy to the amsteel). This would make a self tensioning continious tarp ridge line, and in my head appears to be a great way to adjust your tarp ridge line with no knots (except for the biner being tied to the rope on one end). Just pull the burried end as tight as you want your tarp to hang. If this is a conceptual concept id be interested. I hope this makes sense Ive been thinking about this for a while, this would allow you to tension the tarp ridge line with no hardwear such as a figure nine, rope grippy things or knots

I think its possible. But the way the sling works, I dont think you would ever get it pulled tight. And releasing the tension on a whoopie sling that has no play in it is less than easy.

I have done this with everything I currently sell.

My Guy Lines are currently in the hands of one of our resident tarp makers, and hopefully Ill get some news in a few days.

Awesome opie thanks for the response...Ill just keep an eye out for your tarp ridgeline set...any ideah when you'll start offering the kit , also could you further explain the self tensioning guy line tie outs for the tarp. Whats that green rubber on the rope, is their just a look you wrap around the stake and then tie other end to tarp tie out. Adjust pulling rope through green thingy, is that right, I just cant picture how they work. You guys here on HF got me addicted to gear quick and im loving it , thanks opie

edit: just navigated through your (opie) website a bit more then i did the first time I looked and saw that you were seeling tarp ridgline's already and have a great video of the self tensioning tie out lines...should of been more diligent exploreing opie's site

How do you have the slings hooked to your ENO? Through the channel or larksheaded to the fabric?

Opie, if you don't have a tester yet, let me know. The only thing I'm not sure about will be rigging the ASR into a Hennessy. I'm wondering if I could shove it through the whip in the same way as the stock RL. Maybe I could even tie the ASR to the stock RL, then pull on the RL loop at the larkshead to pull it through the whip. Then, I could use the method shown in the Hennessy Whoopie Sling conversion video. If you've already got a tester, I'm definately looking forward to ordering one.
