Here are the pics I took. There is also a Warbonnet Cat tarp, but my PC is giving my issues uploading more pics.
Speer UQ
This is Ed Speer's new cat tarp. It has 2 small cat cuts on the sides. I think it has cat cuts on the ends too. It has 3 tie-outs per side.
It was only pitched on one side of the hammock and not pulled taught in this pic.
This is a shot showing the top bug netting view of the warbonnet hammocks.
Here is a shot with the designer in his hammock. Sorry I forget yourr first name.

Cool pics. I was wondering if Ed was ever gonna produce a cat cut tarp.
And I like Warbonnet's hammock stand better than the hammock, lol
Wow looks like three great new products. I hope that warbonnet gets the patent issues worked out.

For the couple minutes I was in it, I did not notice anything. But then again, I was not looking for it. So that is not to say it was not there. It also had a pad in the sleeve in the bottom when I was in it. That might take away from the squeeze.
I was actually thinking this would be the prefect design for my ground air hammock idea I have been thinking of. I was thinking of making a rayway tarp, I have been wanting to for awhile now anyways. I think they might be easier and more storm worthly for ground use than my cat tarp.
The jacks hammock would work well on ground as a bivy with trekking poles holding it up. I'll let them speak to how well this would actually work in practice.
This setup is on the top of my list on things to try out when I get back this winter.

I tried out the JRB hammock twice. I have narrow shoulders so the shoulder squeeze was minimal for me. It is a very stable hammock, lays nearly totally flat and has overhead webbing for this dino to use in getting out. I got out the second time totally by myself -- a first for any hammock.
I also spent quite a bit of time talking with Brandon of Warbonnet. I was able to get out of his hammock by using the 'Speer' method (walking feet back until you are almost standing. I can also get out of a Speer hammock this way if it is hung lower than normal.
The dinos will testing the new JRB hammock and hammock tarptent as a two person option - the male dino on the ground and the female dino in the new flat hammock. I've already got the male dino's tyvek ready and just have to finish a couple of single over-quilts (down with baffles - everybody pray for me )
Are we ever gonna see pics of the JRB hammock? What was the price on the JRB hammock?
I was really excited about picking up one of the tarp tents based on the 8x8 tarp(green and black in the pic). I contacted Pan the other day about getting one and he said model will be coming later this year. I guess the are going with this design for now (the lighter color in pic). I was really bummed out as I liked the design of the 8x8 tarp tent. Seemed more roomy. I guess I will have wait.
I really want one of those Speer Snug Fits........

The JRB new hammock is still in the prototype and testing stage so no price is out yet.
