jrb dri ducks poncho mod with space blanket?

i can only remember discussion of space blankets as suggested add-ons to HH supershelters... has anyone used a space blanket with a JRB dd poncho mod? seems like an ideal way to loosely hold a space blanket in place. how about with a JRB dd poncho mod and a down underquilt? ...and if you did use an underquilt also, did you use the space blanket over the underquilt or under the underquilt... i'm guessing above. i've got several nights of cold weather experimenting time coming up, and started thinking about that old space blanket sitting in the camping box!

I tested the DD poncho over an UQ on my BB...fit was just fine without compressing the UQ.
Never tried an space blanket...did put a piece of Silnylon inbetween the layers of my BB as a vapor barrier.
I would guess that a space blanket would work between the hammock layers or between the UQ and hammock body.
Vapor barriers are funny things...if it is too warm, the trapped moisture can make you feel colder. Test, test, test

I haven't tried a vapor barrier yet but might have to try it sometime. I generally get a little bit of condensation on the inside of the JRB DD poncho but not enough to be a big concern. Pads on the other hand are a different story. I always get condensation with pads. Using a Ridge Rest pad helps keep me from getting wet because the condensation collects in the little recessed bumps. If I use a flat pad like a Walmart blue pad I get soaked.
