    Pt Mugu Calif State Park

This park starts across the street from my house and I hike or ride my bike out there at least 3 or 4 times a week. Its only 8 miles to the beach on a trail that is half paved all the way to the beach. One of these nights I will go out and hang my hammock and stay over night, but the wife thinks I'm crazy to leave a comfortable bed if I don't have too.

Awesome, I am jealous. You are fortunate to have such a beautiful place so close to home.

Sounds like fun. Maybe you can get her to join you. Looks like there's room for two hammocks in that last tree!

    Pt Mugu

Yup, we consider ourselves very lucky too have found a great spot since we both love the outdoors! There are quite a few hiking trails between here and Santa Barbara that I want to try. Ojai has a trail called the punch bowl where there are pools and natural water slides that I want to hike.

Yes, there are some huge old oak trees that could hang 3 0r 4 easily! Maybe I'll go stealth camping out there this week and take some pictures.

    Hey Brother
I live in Santa Clarita and go surf ventura, county lin often. I hike your neck of the wood often also. There is nothing crazy about hanging, it is the best. Have a look at this video.

Punch Bowls is amazing! Ive been up there 20+ times, plenty of hanging spots with lots of big water holes for those 40ft leaps off the cliff into them.
