What about a biner through the MSH, serving both as the toggle and something to clip the loop through. But I don't know if that would be worth fooling with, the sticks work well enough, unless I had the biners with me anyway. But until I get some polyester webbing ( I guess what I have is Polypro), my main concern ( though not a great one) is the webbing on webbing "melting". I can get around that with a biner through both hugger loops, but then that is not nearly as convenient to use as webbing back through one loop, which cinches up against the tree. Staying in place while you make adjustments.

Yes, I have wondered if anyone does that. It would work just fine, and no one could dump you in the middle of the night by yanking it out.

Wonder what kind of rope was used. Looked like a covered rope. The coverings are used to increase friction and can have a very coarse surface - kind of like using sandpaper. The rope that Hennessy used on my ULBA has an extremely coarse surface.

But even ropes like Amsteel can do the same thing - just take a lot longer maybe.

OK, I got the line from Dutch at the MAHHA hang and Hooch was kind enough to make me a set. Got 'em in the mail last night and immediately made the switch from webbing to sling on my BB. Took all of 5 minutes. Very easy to do. Thanks Hooch ! ! ! Took it out and hung it in backyard. I kinda got the same feeling as when I put up my BB for the first time. Not that much experience with it but feeling it was gonna be great!
