short UQ attachment

I just bought a KAQ Lost River from AHE. The suspension has different colored 'biners on each end. Once I actually get the time to set it up, I'll remember which end is what by the colors.

Just wondering, do the short quilts come with a longer attachment on one end (foot end)? Guess head end would be the same as full quilt, but if using a short quilt, then would need a longer attachment to hook to the quilt from the foot end. Am I wrong about that?

with traditional quilt suspension, no.
The Warbonnet method of attachment allows the UQ to slide along the entire length of a shockcord loop...no fixed suspension length on either end...

The JRB Mt Washington 3 Short comes witha modified JRB Suspension Set... It has three vs two suspension shock cords... Thus the foot end corners each get a longer shock cord .... So yes, longer shock cords are provided for the foot end.

And as Grizz notes, there is a 1/3 length JRB Mt Washington 3 Compliment quilt that when attached to the short becomes a regular length Mt Washington 3... When doing so one simply uses only two suspension shock cords in the normal mode.

Well, that explains it, I did not get a modified set. I also got what looks to be a generic set of instructions that does not mention the short quilt modification, or else I'd have contacted you right away. Probably should have contacted you first, but I was worried that I was somehow doing it wrong. I'll PM you.
