I bought a Te-Wa quilt from Coldspring this weekend and was thinking about using a piece of insultex to extend the use of this UQ. Any ideas as to the best way to do this?
Anyone have any long term usage reports from their Insultex?

Mr P, could you do something along the lines of Brandon'e reflective liner add on? I don't have one but it looks like he attaches it with small snaps...
My knife is so sharp it cut the sixth finger off my right hand! On the plus side, Inigo Montoya no longer hunts me.
I'm not familiar with that particular piece of gear. Off to do a search...
My Insultex has been sitting neglected all summer. I found it too hot to work with that stuff in late spring and stopped my experimenting. Just now getting back to thinking about how I want to use it - Insultex only - 3 layers as in the Arctic Armour gear which the users say is good down to the single digits just sitting around.

I don't have any experience with insultex, but I have a removable quilt piece that is basically a ripstop sleeve that I slip microfoam into. I can put several layers in depending on how cold I expect the night to be. The piece is 18 inches long and runs from my heels to the back of my legs. I used snaps and I'll be replacing them with bra hooks. I didn't think I was a kicker, but every night I've used that extender I have kicked all of the snaps off with my legs/feet.

I have insultex in a few things.
A layer in my down over quilt.
A lite duty summer quilt consisting of monentum, insultex, spaceblanket, fleece and RS nylon. The fleece was a necessary addition to stop condensation. (which it did)
Insultex drapes very well, and I plan on using it someday in a down underquilt. It does not affect the ability of down to loft, and no doubt adds to both insulation and condensation stopping propertys of any item.
I also have two summer pads each made with two layers of insultex, a spaceblanket layer between, and a taffata nylon outer cover. In all the items it performs well, and I will keep using it. Have not put insultex into any clothing items yet, I still have a few yards, and will get to that this winter.
If I could get more, I would buy it. I have several other insulation materials mentioned here on HF, Insulbrite is very useful, but, not as compact.
Since I retired, some times I stay awake all day, some times all night.
