I think he means one of those rope hammocks that are so infamous for flipping people onto the ground. Sweet idea for the backyard, but even mine for out back is an ENO, which, by the way, had been very nice to sleep in every night since I started vacation on Sunday.

Apparently being "old school" involves a signifcant amount of weight, being horribly unstable and knots digging into your butt and back as you try to "rest" in something that is so uncomfortable that regrets are bound to manifest themselves in the form of loud cursing. That said, if that's what homeboy wants, then cool. Heck, here's a link to it: http://www.hammocks.com/hammocks/rop...4294924744.cfm. At least they'll be off the ground.

Well, I don't have to worry about that anymore. My mom was at a store and found one on sale with beam and hammock for $100(originally $280)...really good deal. Anywho, it is really comfortable. I guess I don't have the professional ones to compare to, but I was amazed.

Knots aren't uncomfortable and it is pretty stable. The polyester is soooooo soft...makes me wonder what cotton or duracord woulda felt like since I know they are both considerably more soft.

It really is pretty fantastic. And it looks very nice :-)
