    Dang!,
but I like how Oldgringo says stuff...straight to the point with no extra words. It's like trying to edit Mark Twain's writings..it just can't be done, because already it's perfect.

Opie, thanks for the testing videos.

i could tie some stuff up and send it to anybody who can do this kind of testing.
Ill PM you my address. I need AT LEAST a 4" loop on the ends to get over those bolts. 6" would allow me to get down on the part of it thats round with no edges.

Opie - I've got to agree with you that the key finding was that the whoopie broke w/o derating the line.

The second item of interest is that it didn't fail at the bury exit, which is where Samson said they always fail. Hmmm?

I share the curiosity of others but see no need for further isolated whoopie testing. Would rather see the whoopie attached to tree huggers with marlins spike or biner, etc and tested.

It could just be that the portion of the sling didnt reach its breaking point prior to the fixed eye over one of the angles on the post.

I sent Warbonnetguy a PM with my address. Ill test anything anyone sends me. Knotted up or otherwise rigged.

Ill have to get some exact measurements.. But I have a limited distance I can use to test. I think I have a max distance of 24". I may be able to rig something up to increase that... But for now Ill say 24". I can measure tomorrow for sure.

I didn't make those videos. They're related to a "Break Testing" thread on Treebuzz. I didn't read all of it yet but your answer might be there.

Some close ups of the slings. The first set, starting with the break is of the stitched sling. The next set, starting with the break is the locked sling.
