Question What size rope is right for me?

Ok, here it goes. I am in the process of making hammocks for my entire family. I am putting a ring buckle suspension together for my 2 girls and maybe for my wife, but I am thinking a bout a homemade whoopie sling for my hammock. I don't think my problem is making my sling, but I am having trouble trying to decide what size rope to use for my sling. I am 235# at 6'1". Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

1/8 amsteel, and that`s probably overkill.

    Amsteel Blue 7/64 or 1/8.

By the way the "Blue" in Amsteel Blue is part of the product name, not the color of the line (though it does come in blue). Do a little search and you'll find the contact info for ordering from Redden Marine. They offer some special prices and shipping for forum members.
