I'm amazed at how comfortable it was hanging out in the backyard today ... had a nice little nap.

I'm still trying to decide how long I want my straps to be .... the 7 ft whoopies seem to be a good length.

Right now my straps are 8 ft.

I got to sleep in mine the last 2 nights,,,,,, And did alittle experimenting.

last night was the coldest, 32* at 10:00pm and 26* thismorning.

Using only a Hennessy Hex tarp, a 1/8 inch thick neoprene pad, an older $19.00 sleeping bag for a pad and a 30* sleeping bag to sleep in. It wasn't the hammock, but the layers of insulation that worked, It was comforbatle all night.
I have to say that this Grand Truck Ultra light is pretty comfortable infact I slept better in it, than my Hennessy. for a $29.00 hammock I am impressed.

For the suspension, I put those black web boat dock straps on it and it works just fine for me,,,,,

Mine came out to 9 ft as well.... stretched out.

I put a lash-it structural ridgeline on it this weekend ..... right at 100 inches. ... pretty comfy

hay guys, how is the diagonal lay in this hammock? Or would it be better to go with the double?

If you are looking for diagonal, I would go with a double.
I am happy with mine though......

I got my ultralight from the local ourfitter here for $20 to supposr them. And some other odds and ends. But back to the hammock...

It is thin - One layer - it is making poping and snapping sounds at first. I am kinda at the weight limit at 245 lbs.

I think that it will work. I will not use it anyware crazy like in a tree or over a drop off or anything like that. But I am not scared of a 2 or 3 foot drop.

    Its so small and light!

I had a buddy listen to the noises and it is just the knots tightenting up on the roap provided. It is just set up between racking in the warehouse right now. I have webbing for the trees...
