Drank the Kool-Aid and got a BB :) Need some help getting started

So I drank the Kool-Aid and got a Warbonnet Black Bird double 1.7 with the straps for Christmas. Got it up and hanging and wanted to make sure I am doing things right (I have checked out the videos on his site) and had a few questions. I am excited to get out and start hanging!

If you look below is the angle on it about right?

Do people adjust the ridgeline on the BB? mine was rather loose as I hung it in the picture below.

Has anyone slept with their head in the foot box?

The angles look pretty good to me. 30 degrees is a baseline, then you have to tweak it to your preference. The ridgeline should tighten when you get in the hammock? I have never slept with my head in the footbox. I haven't had the need to try.

Yep - angles look pretty good. Looks like your feet are a little higher than your head...which is what you want.

The BB ridgeline isn't adjustable but you could tie it shorter if you wanted to. If the ridgeline doesn't tighten up when you lay in the hammock, you can pull the supports a little tighter.

I read of someone on HF sleeping with their head in the footbox. Seems flat enough to me that I haven't needed to try, though.

The ridgeline looks like it might be a little slack in that inside pic. You could try lessening the suspension angle just a little(might have to hang your straps a little lower on the trees). That should allow it to tighten up when you lay in it and keep the bugnet up and away from you.

Yep, the ridgeline tells the tale when weighted. Give your suspension a little tug; probably won't take much because your angles do look pretty good. Bet you're only off by a couple of inches. Good by any standard, great for the first hang!
