    Post Hi from Georgia

Just to introduce myself. I am located in the Atlanta area. I have a Hennessey and a Clark. I have been hanging for a couple of years now. All of my ground dweller friends couldn't figure out the concept. Thought I was the only one with the sickness until I stumbled on this site. What a great bunch of people! Hope to go on a hike with y'all in the future!

    Hey Cookie,
The wife and kids and I will be visiting ground dwelling friends in Duluth for New Year's. I will raise a glass to your good health and all my new hangin' buds here at HF (I'm new, but claiming them as friends already!) Lots of good folks here with lots of good information, and I believe I heard mention of a possible group hang near Burrell's Ford this spring.

Sickness, what are you talking about? This isn't normal???

Glad you made it to the site...lots of good info and very helpful people. Also, there is a New Years Eve hang on Springer Mnt. It may be late notice and I'm not sure how far you are from there, but it may be something your interested in. I'll be in the area, but my wife and kids are coming, so that means Holiday Inn for me.

    Hi Cookie,

Waving hello and welcome to you from up in NE GA.

Hammock hanger numbers are growing quickly. It's just a matter of time before we're the majority, so we'll be the normal ones, tee hee!

Welcome to HF from another Atlanta resident, Cookie. If you really want to jump in with a big hammock crowd, a bunch of folks will be gathering at the Springer Mountain shelter tomorrow, to have a New Year's hang. There's no real organization to it, just show up and setup camp somewhere close to the shelter. There ought to be a lot of hammockers around, so many different types of gear setups to see. Hope you can make it!
