I am looking at the dates and hope to be able to attend. May depend on several things like the arrival of a new grandbaby at the end of February or early March. The weather for travel or snow removal at home will also enter in to the equation. I would like to hike some and could overnight hike depending on what happens.

It might be possiable for me and my son to attend. Put me down as maybe +1... And I would be interested in a bit of backpacking while there...

Here is a little info for everyone interested in Ozark hang:

1.Kyles landing is 1st come 1st camp. No reservations, No cell phone service either.
2.The ‘Buffalo Outdoor Center’ in Ponca rents canoes for $53.00 per day. This time a year there is no problem to rent w/o resv.
    3.Many trails to hike/backpack.

For the ones going, what is everyone interested in.
I'm thinking about hiking one day and maybe floating the next.
    Comments/questions?

Good grief! Inflation gets to me after a while. I wouldn't be surprised if that's not the highest rental fee in the Ozarks though.

I am all about the hiking and have to agree on the high rental of the canoe.

I did call one more, 'Lost Valley canoe' and their fee is $45. plus tax.
Really it doesn't matter to me whether it's hiking or floating. I have my own gear and have not rented in a long time. I guess their hurting to pay the rent/mortg. If we all prefer to Hike I can float another time...

All the rentals creep up every couple of years, it's getting outrageous. I saw that an 8 mile float on the Mulberry was $56! Arkansas rivers are so rain dependent that I guess they have to make the most of a short season. Up here in Missouri, where we have the big springs, they just charge $38-$45, since the water's always at a decent level. I suppose that's reasonably priced entertainment for a few hours, if you only go once a year or so.
