Was that the first time you tried it? You're awfully brave, although I'm thinking it's a win either way. If it holds, you show how strong it is. If it breaks, you get on "Funniest Home Videos".
    It's all in the reflexes.

In making them, I found that the way I spliced them made them hold together supper strong, even before adding the locking amsteel stitches. Figured if it would hold me bouncing like that it would hold anything once it is stitched and then linked on the hammock, my bigger worry was misplacing a foot and splitting myself on the truss. But then that would have worked good for FHV.

Paul - are you suggesting these in place of whoopie slings? I am confused on how to use them

Nope, These go on your hammock to use with rings, cinch buckles or the like in place of a tied loop. Our Whoopies already have a fixed loop to attach to the hammock but with a buckle or ring system you need some sort of loop of line for the Girth Hitch-Larks Head or what not to attache the hardware to the hammock. Check out the Tutorials Section on my site for how and where to use them, I used a BB because it has some special steps you need to follow but any whipped end hammock would be very similar.

Very cool, Paul! These would be GREAT for folks who have to keep looking at a knot tying video 300 times over and over and still feel like they can't quite get it right. Not that *I* would have to do that.....

How long are the loops? Would it really matter what type of cinch buckle you use with them?

Thanks for the cool gear, videos, and good info!

The loop is about 10 inches long end to end. They will work with any chinch buckle out there, probably easiest with the ones we have with the tapered end as you don't have to do a prussic to hold the buckle strait.
